Clogging Fever

The first full week of August is the Johnson County Fair. The fair grounds are right here in Gardner. In fact, before we moved from our little rat hole, we were only two blocks away from the fair grounds. Usually, it is the hottest week of the year, but not this year. The weather was perfect! Last night, we went to see all the animals, walk the booths and have some dinner. I love fair food. But most important to me was the Cloggers. I had to see them! I made sure we got to the little stage about 30 min early because I had to be able to see their feet, right? The kids about didn't make it, but the show started and it was so cool to hear the sound of the double taps again. It made me all nostalgic because I was a clogger in a former life. My older brother and sister clogged too. I quit when I was 13. In these pictures, I think I am like 5 or 6. Check out my awesome 80's bangs. Sweet.

The clogging group that preformed are out of Belton or Raymore Mo. They offer classes for adults too. So now I'm thinking: How long does it take to get to Belton? How much would a pair of clogging shoes cost nowadays? What the heck happened to my old clogging shoes anyway? I want to clog!
