This One Time.....(Olympic Addition)

......the 1996 Olympic flame passed right by my house in Sandy, Utah on its way to Atlanta.

See?

And a bunch of the boys from the neighborhood dressed up and ran behind it.
See?
And I was all, "I wish I had thought of that!!!"
It was awesome.

(And oh my goodness...... check out those mountains!)

Yes, Kirk and Thayne. Just one Garbett, I don't who that kid is in the back. And that's Derek behind the bike.

I had completely forgotten that exciting moment in our life. It was so cool. Thanks for reminding us of the great times and mountains in Utah. I want to go home!!!!!!!! Oh do you remember us running up to Flat Iron Mesa to see the Space shuttle be carried by on a huge airliner type plane. Very exciting for the adults, not sure about how the kids felt.. Then there was the time while I was on the playground at school and saw Airforce One fly down the valley. Too bad it was Clinton on it. SKW

Holy crap, I think we have almost that exact same picture! And then my oldest brother tried to "hold" the torch and that didn't go over very well...

Happy New Year
