Moo!
It's a pretty common sight here in Kansas to see an old barn in the middle of new construction. Take this barn in Olathe next to I-35 for instance. This is what it looked like last august. (If you look closely, you can see a hawk on the tip of the roof.)
There were, until a year or two ago, cows grazing here. Every time we would drive by with our toddlers they would yell, "Mommy! Cows!! Mooooooo!!" and then I would say, "Moooo!!" and everyone was very happy. Now they are building freeway exits and bridges.

My guess is that eventually, it will be gone all together. Kind of makes me sad.

But don't be sad! Hunger Games comes out in 104 days! Actually that seems like a long time at the moment.
I wish I knew of a cute barn close by... Then Sami could get all excited and say "doggie!! doggie!!" as we passed it by.
