My Kids Are Awesome

My Four year old is basically a parrot. He will repeat about anything he hears. I find it to be extremely entertaining. Yesterday while I cleaned out my trashcan, or mini-van, whatever you want to call it, he came out wearing a dress up hat that belongs to my daughter. This hat has a wide brim and it is pink with sequins and it has a big pink feather.

Me: Are you a pimp?
Him: Pimp!
Me: Ba, ha, ha, ha, ha! Husband, did you hear that? Ba, ha, ha! He said pimp! (Never mind, he only said it because I did.)
My daughter, seeing me laugh, comes to get in on the action.

Her, to her brother: Hey, are you a pimple?
Him: Pimple!
Me: Ba, ha, ha, haaaa!!
Her: yeah, you're a pimple!
Him: Pimple!
Me: Haa, ha, haaa. Baa, haa, ha!!!!

And that is why my kids are completely awesome.

Pimp must mean something different today than it did to my generation. What did it mean when you ask him that? Kids do say the funniest things, as Art Linkletter said. In fact he had a segment of a tv show just about that. He would interview 4 children and they did say the funniest things. He made money on that idea. Maybe you could do something like that, Leslie. Since you have such cute sources to get the funny things.

Happy New Year

Every night at around 8pm, I announce, " K, it's time for bed !"  and my 8 yr old (who we now consider to be autistic) ...
