Yesterday, my little boy got off the school bus and about had a heart attack because the cookies were gone. I told him to calm down, there was more cookies dough in the fridge. He watched me make the dough into balls and put them on the baking sheet while the oven heated up. (Now don't get any crazy ideas about me being a supermom because I made cookies after school once.) I then walked over to the computer to finish the email I had started. A minute later, I look over and this little boy had a whole ball of dough in his mouth and one in his hand. I started teasing him in my best "silly tease the baby" voice.me: Hey you! What are you doing? Did you eat the cookie dough?
him: Yeah!
me: Omigosh! I can't believe you did that!
him: Yeah! Call 911!
I totally did not see that coming. He totally cracked a joke that didn't involve calling someone a Googoo. Plus, there was an element of sarcasm. Anyone who knows me even just a little, knows that I am completely fluent in sarcasm.
This was a proud, proud moment for me.

What a cute little critter! So smart too- the cookie dough is WAY better than cookies!
He's pretty young to be picking up on scarcasm and that can only mean one thing- the Parents Curse has come true for you. You HAVE gotten a kid just like you! HA!
Dad and I just had the biggest LOL. We loved this story. What a bright boy. Who is singing the song on your blog?
Leslie, I'm not sure I ever took the time to tell you how much I love you and your sense of humor. Well, I do. Now that the Wards have split I really miss you and your family terribly.
LOVE the web page. Thanks for the music. On the site and in my life because of you all.
