Well Look Who It Is

It's me! Hooray!

  1. I turned in my paper and a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. If anyone ever says Triangle Shirtwaist Fire to me ever again, I just might throw up on them. Don't say I didn't warn you.

  2. I am now 29. What? Still younger than you? Huh, I never seem to catch up. Crap.

  3. Isn't it funny how on the last day of class, everyone is best friends all of a sudden?

  4. We went and saw the Star Trek movie. It was wicked awesome. Go see it. Oh come on! If you love me, you'd go see it. Just so you know, Leslie was once the biggest Star Trek fan in in Sandy, Ut. (That's not true, I had a friend who's parents started the fan club U.S.S. Kelly, and you probably don't even know what that is.) I'm picky about my Star Trek. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, if an old seasoned Trekkie liked it, then you know it's good. Anyway, I guess I better shut up now before I REALLY start sounding like a dork.
  5. Well, at least I don't speak Klingon.
  6. Today is mother's day. My husband went to the store for strawberries and chocolate. I don't know why I can't shake this compulsion to do special things for MY HUSBAND'S family. HE doesn't even care, yet I do. There is just something not right about that. But I will make chocolate covered strawberries and we will deliver them. I don't know why, I just will.
  7. Three years ago today, we got thrown out of Grandma's house, and she hasn't tried to make it right since. Is that weird? I think it is. Sometimes I wonder if it's cause we are Mormon.
  8. Last year we planted one little, lonesome strawberry plant. Now we have eight large plants with lots of flowers and little green berries growing. I am amazed. Next year, we will have a bonafide strawberry patch. I think that is beautiful. I have pictures, I'll post them later this week.

Happy Birthday Leslie! I do realize it was 2 days ago and I'm late, but in our defense, we've been sick and I didn't want to give it to you over the phone. AND, my voice is pretty much shot and it hurts to talk, so I'm staying fairly quiet. I know, you can't believe I'd ever be quiet, it's depressing. I'll have to type a lot to make up for it. Anyhow, I wish I were closer so I could love you to death and hope you'd bring me chocolate covered strawberries! Congrats (and whew) on finishing your paper. Happy Mother's Day!
