For my sister when she had her first baby, I did this.
And I did this redwork becaused I liked it. It sits in my cupbard, folded up until I have money to frame it proper.

I also do other sewing....
Someone told me once this kind of sewing was called crewel. But I don't know, that sounds fancy and I just kind of do it, I do what gets the job done. Not a lot of skill involved. They go really quick and don't take near the patience as a cross-stitch. (Unless you need to fill something with french knots. Damn you french knots!! Damn you!)
